When baby’s teeth begin to come out of her gums or known as teething, in general, the baby will feel sore or hurt, and the gums around the teeth that grow will experience swelling. Babies would often become restless and cranky. What can you do to help your baby?

Nemours Foundation provides the following advice for baby to feel more comfortable when his teeth started to come out:

* Use a warm wet cloth to wipe your baby’s face and clean the drool coming out of his mouth. This can help to prevent the occurrence of rash on the face.

* Give the baby something that can be held to calm him down. For example teething ring or you can give a damp cloth that has been put into the freezer for 30 minutes. Make sure the cloth is washed after use.
* Give a massage on your baby’s gums using a finger, make sure your fingers clean.
* If you feel desperate need, ask your doctor whether it is safe to give paracetamol to your baby. Make sure your doctor has approved dose and frequency of use.
